Exercise 6 - texture in photography


The picture was taken mainly to capture the surface texture of this house wall made of rocks and 
Building materials. The light was of the setting sun, softly illuminating from the top. This photo was processed in black and white as colors were of no significance here.

The parallel lines seem to converge near the center of this painting( linear perspective). The artist has also used a relative apparent size of the object on the picture plane. The carriages in the front part of the painting are larger than the tiny carriages in the back. There is also overlap in the buildings to help achieve the illusion of real space. Finally, the atmospheric perspective the foreground is clear and in the back, it shows less contrast as they go back.
